Description

Delicious and creamy Cheesy Chicken Bacon Bake Wraps, oven-baked to perfection with a cheesy sauce and crispy bacon.


Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese (inside the wraps)
  • ½ cup cooked bacon pieces (inside)
  • ¼ cup cream cheese (softened)
  • Salt + pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter (for the sauce)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (for the sauce)
  • 1 ½ cups milk (for the sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack (for the sauce)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for the sauce)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (for the sauce)
  • ½ tsp onion powder (for the sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for the sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (for topping)
  • ½1 cup crispy crumbled bacon (for topping)
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheese, and ½ cup bacon. Season with salt & pepper. Divide mixture into 4 portions.
  2. Spoon one portion of filling onto each tortilla. Roll tightly like a burrito and place seam-side-down in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour, whisk for 30 seconds. Slowly add milk, whisking until smooth and thickened. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth, creamy, and melty. Pour sauce generously over the rolled wraps.
  4. Sprinkle the extra mozzarella all over the top. Add crispy bacon pieces generously.
  5. Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 20 minutes. Switch to broil for 2–3 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.
  6. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with fresh parsley sprinkled on top.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of bacon based on your preference.
  • For a spicier kick, add some jalapeños to the filling.
  • These wraps can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
