  • ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup (150 g) sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional, for extra texture)
  • Melted dark or milk chocolate, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a heatproof bowl over simmering water (or in short microwave bursts), melt the chopped white chocolate and butter together until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Sift in flour and salt, folding gently until just combined. If using, fold in white chocolate chips for extra richness.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until edges are set and the center is just slightly soft (don’t overbake).
  6. Let cool completely in the pan. Drizzle with melted dark or milk chocolate and sprinkle extra white chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Cut into squares and enjoy!
