Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water (110°F / 43°C)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ lb ground beef, cooked & seasoned
  • ½ cup diced ham
  • ½ cup Italian sausage, cooked
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices (reserve extra for topping)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (for topping)
  • Extra pepperoni slices (for topping)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead for 7–8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a deep-dish cake pan or springform pan.
  5. Roll out dough and press half into the bottom and sides of the pan.
  6. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce. Add mozzarella, beef, and a sprinkle of cheddar.
  7. Add another thin crust layer (rolled dough). Spread sauce, add sausage, ham, and more mozzarella.
  8. Repeat layering until pan is nearly full, finishing with cheese.
  9. Spread remaining sauce and mozzarella over the top.
  10. Arrange pepperoni slices evenly, sprinkle with Parmesan and oregano.
  11. Bake 40–45 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  12. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing for neat layers.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the meats and add more vegetables.
