Description
Tiramisu Truffles are a delightful and easy-to-make dessert that combines the classic flavors of tiramisu in a bite-sized treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) cold mascarpone cheese
- 6 oz (170g) white chocolate, melted and cooled
- 2 tsp instant espresso powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (100g) crushed chocolate cookies or ladyfingers
- 7–8 oz (200g) dark chocolate, melted (for coating)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine cold mascarpone, cooled white chocolate, espresso powder, and vanilla. Stir until smooth and creamy (do not overmix).
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour until the mixture firms up enough to scoop.
- Using a small cookie scoop or teaspoon, portion the filling and roll into balls. Place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 20–30 minutes.
- Dip each chilled ball into melted dark chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place back onto parchment and let the chocolate set.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the mascarpone cheese is cold for the best texture.
- Do not overmix the filling to maintain a creamy consistency.
- Freezing the truffles helps them hold their shape when coating with chocolate.
