Description

Delicious Strawberry Coconut Cream Puffs filled with a creamy mixture and topped with a strawberry glaze and shredded coconut.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (120 ml) water
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (120 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (100 g) strawberry jam or puree
  • 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk (to adjust glaze consistency)
  • 1 cup (80 g) shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Whipped cream (for topping swirls)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, milk, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until dough pulls away from sides and forms a ball.
  4. Transfer dough to a mixing bowl. Let cool slightly.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth and glossy.
  6. Pipe or spoon dough into small mounds on baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed. Cool completely.
  8. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Whip the heavy cream separately to stiff peaks.
  10. Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Chill until ready to use.
  11. Mix strawberry jam with powdered sugar. Add milk gradually until smooth and spreadable.
  12. Slice puffs in half and pipe cream filling inside.
  13. Dip tops into strawberry glaze, then immediately roll in shredded coconut.
  14. Top with a swirl of whipped cream and half a strawberry.
  15. Best enjoyed the same day while fresh and crisp.

Notes

  • Ensure the puffs are completely cooled before filling to prevent sogginess.
  • Use fresh strawberries for decoration for the best flavor.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
