Description
A creamy cheesecake with a chocolate cookie crust, decorated with a chocolate spiderweb and adorable pretzel-leg spiders — the perfect Halloween dessert!

- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or crushed digestive biscuits)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, room temp
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vegetable oil (to thin the chocolate)
- Chocolate truffles, malt balls, or donut holes (for bodies)
- Mini chocolate chips or candy eyes
- Pretzel sticks (for legs, broken into short pieces)
- A little melted chocolate (for “glue”)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly moistened.
- Press firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake 8 minutes, then set aside.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed.
- Blend in sour cream, vanilla, and flour until just combined.
- Pour batter over cooled crust.
- Place pan on a baking sheet.
- Bake 50–55 minutes, until edges are set but center jiggles slightly.
- Turn off oven, crack the door, and let cheesecake rest inside 1 hour.
- Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Melt chocolate chips with oil until smooth.
- Pipe concentric circles on top of chilled cheesecake.
- Use a toothpick to drag lines outward from the center to create a web effect.
- Attach candy eyes to chocolate truffles with a dab of melted chocolate.
- Insert pretzel sticks as legs.
- Place spiders onto the cheesecake web.

- For best results, chill the cheesecake overnight.
- Feel free to customize the spider decorations with your favorite candies.
