Description

A creamy cheesecake decorated with a chocolate spiderweb and adorable edible spider toppings made with chocolate truffles and pretzels. Perfectly spooky and fun for Halloween parties!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (or crushed Oreos)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 24 oz (675 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted (for spiderweb)
  • 68 chocolate truffles or donut holes (for spider bodies)
  • Mini pretzels, broken into curved pieces (for legs)
  • Candy eyes (or white chocolate + mini chocolate chips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then cool slightly.
  4. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently.
  5. Stir in sour cream, vanilla, and flour until combined. Pour filling over the crust.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes until center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off oven, crack door, and let cheesecake cool gradually.
  7. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Melt chocolate and pipe concentric circles on top of the cheesecake. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outward, creating a spiderweb pattern.
  9. Place truffles on the cheesecake for spider bodies. Insert pretzel legs into each side. Attach candy eyes with a dab of melted chocolate.
  10. Slice and enjoy this spooky, sweet, and festive Halloween dessert!

Notes

  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free graham crackers or Oreos.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth filling.
  • Chilling overnight enhances the flavor and texture of the cheesecake.
