Create fun and spooky edible treats with these Halloween-themed pizza skulls, perfect for a festive gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup mini pepperoni slices (plus extra for decorating)
  • ½ cup cooked Italian sausage (crumbled)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted, for brushing)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease skull molds generously with nonstick spray or melted butter.
  2. Cut pizza dough into pieces large enough to line each skull mold and press dough into the molds, leaving enough overhang to seal later.
  3. Add a spoonful of pizza sauce, mozzarella, sausage, and pepperoni inside each mold.
  4. Fold dough over the filling and pinch edges to seal, placing dough seams facing up.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning, then bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly, then carefully remove from the mold.
  7. Use pepperoni slices for “eyes” and extra sausage for a creepy “mouth” effect, then sprinkle with parsley for garnish.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage and use additional vegetables.
  • These can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
