Description

Deliciously roasted cashews tossed in a sweet and spicy maple syrup mixture, perfect for snacking.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups raw unsalted cashews
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss cashews with salt and cayenne until evenly coated.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup and vanilla. Stir until bubbling but not boiling.
  4. Pour the maple mixture over the cashews and stir to coat thoroughly.
  5. Spread cashews on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Feel free to adjust the cayenne for more or less heat.
