Description

A delicious and flavorful dish combining spicy Cajun chicken with a creamy honey butter sauce and pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta (or your choice)
  • 2 tbsp pasta cooking water (reserved)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 2 tbsp pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, toss chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add chicken in a single layer and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium and melt butter.
  8. Stir in honey, chicken broth, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  9. Let simmer for 2 minutes, then add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth.
  10. Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet, tossing to coat in sauce.
  11. Return chicken to the skillet and mix well.
  12. Garnish with extra Parmesan or fresh parsley. Serve warm.
