This delicious cinnamon cobbler is perfect for dessert.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for batter)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for batter)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter and pour into a 9×13 baking dish.
- Whisk milk, vanilla, and 1 cup granulated sugar in a large bowl. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, whisking until just combined.
- Pour batter carefully over the melted butter, being careful not to mix. Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar over the batter, then carefully pour 1 cup hot water over everything.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and mostly set in the center.
- Mix the remaining 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, then sprinkle over the hot cobbler. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream for an extra treat.
- This cobbler can also be enjoyed at room temperature.
