Description

A delicious slow cooker recipe for Italian beef served on ciabatta rolls with provolone cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 Cup Diced White Onion
  • 34 Pound Beef Chuck Roast
  • 14 oz Diced Italian Style Tomatoes (Canned)
  • 14 oz Can of Beef Broth
  • 2 Cloves Crushed Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • Dash Salt
  • Dash Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • Ciabatta Rolls or Gluten-Free Rolls
  • Provolone Cheese

Instructions

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, add the onions to the bottom of the pot.
  2. Place the roast directly on top of the onions.
  3. Pour the diced tomatoes and beef broth over the roast.
  4. Evenly add the garlic cloves, Italian Seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a small dish, combine the balsamic vinegar and tomato paste, and add to the top of the roast.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  7. Once done, shred the roast and serve it on a ciabatta roll with provolone cheese.

Notes

  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
  • This dish can also be served over pasta or polenta.
