Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340 g) medium pasta shells
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz / 410 g) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz / 227 g) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion over medium heat until beef is cooked through. Drain excess fat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8–10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Add cooked pasta shells to the skillet. Stir until pasta is coated with sauce and beef is evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Cover skillet for 2–3 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm straight from the skillet.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or your favorite hot sauce.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated for a quick meal.
