Description

Delicious no-bake Red Velvet Cheesecake Balls that combine the rich flavors of red velvet cake and creamy cheesecake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 prepared red velvet cake (from a box mix or homemade)
  • ½ cup cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  2. Scoop small teaspoons of mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Freeze for at least 1 hour, until firm.
  4. Crumble the cooled red velvet cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
  5. Mix in cream cheese frosting a little at a time until mixture holds together like dough.
  6. Take a spoonful of red velvet mixture and flatten it in your palm.
  7. Place a frozen cheesecake ball in the center.
  8. Wrap red velvet mixture around it and roll into a smooth ball.
  9. Place the balls back on a parchment-lined tray.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or freeze for 30 minutes, to set.
  11. Roll in extra red velvet crumbs for coating, as shown in your photo.
  12. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Notes

  • Ensure the cheesecake filling is well-chilled before wrapping with the red velvet mixture.
  • For a richer flavor, use homemade cream cheese frosting.
  • These can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
