Description

Fresh strawberries coated in a glossy candy shell and paired with red sour gummies, chewy candies, and fruity sweets — the ultimate party-ready treat box!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (washed & dried well)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Red food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional, for shine)
  • Sour gummy ribbons or belts (red-colored)
  • Airheads, Twizzlers, or other chewy red candies
  • Additional sour gummies or coated candies for layering

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries — moisture will prevent candy from sticking. Insert skewers or toothpicks into the tops for easier dipping.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium-high without stirring until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat, stir in food coloring (and lemon juice if using).
  3. Working quickly, dip strawberries into the hot candy mixture, twirling to coat evenly. Place on a parchment-lined tray to set and harden.
  4. Arrange candy-coated strawberries in an aluminum or decorative box. Add sour gummy ribbons, red chewy candies, and sugar-coated gummies around them for a fun, colorful mix. Chill lightly before serving (not too long or the candy shell may sweat).

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping.
  • Use a candy thermometer for accurate temperature measurement.
  • Experiment with different types of candies for variety.
