A festive and creamy peppermint punch perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups (1L) vanilla ice cream
  • 4 cups (1L) strawberry or raspberry sherbet (or pink peppermint sherbet)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold milk or half & half
  • 3 cups (720 ml) Sprite, 7UP, or sparkling lemonade
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract (adjust for taste)
  • Red food coloring (optional, for a deeper pink)
  • Crushed candy canes (for garnish)
  • Mini candy canes around the rim (optional but iconic 🎁)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bowl: If decorating the bowl rim, dip the rim lightly in melted white chocolate or frosting. Press mini candy canes around the edge so they stick.
  2. Make the Punch: In a large punch bowl, add ice cream (in scoops), sherbet, pour milk over, add peppermint extract and a touch of red coloring (optional), and slowly pour in Sprite/7UP β€” this gives the frothy, fluffy texture. Stir gently β€” you want some creamy swirls.
  3. Top & Serve: Add extra scoops of ice cream on top, sprinkle with crushed candy canes, and serve immediately with ladle.

Notes

  • For extra peppermint flavor, add 1–2 more drops of extract (careful β€” it’s strong!).
  • For a creamier texture, use heavy cream instead of milk.
  • To make it less sweet, use sparkling water instead of soda.
  • For a red and white swirl effect, don’t fully mix β€” just fold lightly.
