Description
A festive and creamy Peppermint Eggnog Punch perfect for holiday parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups egg nog (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 2 cups peppermint ice cream (or strawberry for color)
- 1 liter (4 cups) ginger ale or cream soda, chilled
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
- Whipped cream, for topping
- 6–8 mini candy canes, for garnish
- Crushed peppermint candies, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Crush candy canes: Place a few in a zip bag and crush into small bits. Set aside.
- Assemble the punch: In a large punch bowl, add eggnog, vanilla ice cream, and peppermint ice cream. Let the ice cream soften slightly and stir gently to create a creamy, fluffy base.
- Add fizz: Pour the chilled ginger ale or cream soda over the mixture and stir slowly to combine.
- Flavor boost: Add peppermint extract if you’d like a stronger peppermint taste.
- Garnish & Serve: Top with lots of whipped cream, sprinkle with crushed peppermint, and hang mini candy canes on the side of the bowl or glasses. Serve immediately while it’s cold and frothy.
Notes
- For a spiked adult version, add 1 to 1 ½ cups of white rum, vanilla vodka, or peppermint schnapps.
- To make it extra pink, add 1–2 tablespoons crushed red peppermints or ½ teaspoon pink food gel.
- For individual servings, use ½ cup eggnog, 2 scoops vanilla ice cream, 1 scoop peppermint ice cream, ½ cup ginger ale, and 1–2 drops peppermint extract.
