Description

A delightful Peach Cobbler Trifle featuring 5 dreamy layers of cake, cream, fruit, crumble, and garnishes that elevate dessert bliss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cake (or angel food cake), cubed
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 can (21 oz) peach pie filling or cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or shortbread cookies
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Whipped cream swirls for garnish
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. Mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter and brown sugar until crumbly. Toast lightly in a skillet or oven (optional) for a cobbler-like flavor.
  3. In a large trifle bowl, layer cubed cake at the bottom.
  4. Add a layer of whipped cream.
  5. Top with sliced peaches and a spoonful of pie filling.
  6. Sprinkle with crumble mixture.
  7. Repeat the layers until the bowl is full.
  8. Spread a final layer of whipped cream on top.
  9. Sprinkle extra crumble on top.
  10. Garnish with maraschino cherries.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let flavors meld.
  12. Serve with a big spoon, making sure each scoop includes all 5 layers.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider toasting the crumble layer.
  • Use fresh peaches for the best taste, but canned peaches work well too.
  • Chilling the trifle allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
