Description

A delicious blend of thick-cut beef bacon and goat cheese served on a crispy baguette.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack thick-cut Beef Bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 baguette
  • to taste Olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 or 8-ounce log of goat cheese
  • for drizzling Maple syrup, honey, or hot honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the beef bacon on a baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the water, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Brush the mixture over the bacon and bake until crispy, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Spread the goat cheese over the bread.
  7. Once the bacon is done, place it on top of the goat cheese.
  8. Drizzle with maple syrup, honey, or hot honey if desired.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of cayenne pepper or add more red pepper flakes.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese if desired.
