Description

This Marshmallow Moondust Pie is a dreamy, no-bake dessert with a pastel swirl filling that’s light, creamy, and totally magical! Perfect for birthdays, holidays, or anytime you want something sweet and fun. It’s easy to make, beautiful to slice, and guaranteed to wow your guests with its out-of-this-world look and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or finely crushed digestive biscuits)

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp sugar

For the Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff

  • 2 cups whipped cream or Cool Whip

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Food coloring gels (pink, blue, purple – optional for swirl effect)

For the Topping:

  • Colorful marshmallow bits (like Lucky Charms) or crushed pastel candies

  • Sprinkles (optional – but adds sparkle!)

Instructions

  • Make the Crust:
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until the texture resembles wet sand. Press firmly into the bottom (and slightly up the sides) of a 9-inch pie dish. Chill while you prep the filling.

  • Prepare the Filling:
In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Gently fold in the whipped cream or Cool Whip until fluffy and fully incorporated.

  • Create the Swirl Effect:
Divide the filling into 3–4 small bowls. Tint each portion with a different food coloring gel (pink, blue, purple, etc.). Drop spoonfuls of each color into the prepared crust in a random pattern. Lightly swirl with a knife or skewer to create a dreamy marbled effect—don’t overmix!

  • Add the Topping:
Sprinkle the top with colorful marshmallow bits and sprinkles for a sparkly, moondust finish.

  • Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until fully set. Slice and serve chilled for the best texture and presentation.

Notes

  • Whipped Cream Tips: You can use store-bought whipped topping or make your own by whipping 1 cup of cold heavy cream with 2 tbsp powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

  • No Food Coloring? No problem! The pie still tastes amazing without the swirl—just a little less cosmic.

  • Make Ahead Friendly: This pie sets beautifully overnight, making it perfect for preparing the day before a party or event.

  • Storage: Keep leftovers covered and refrigerated for up to 5 days. You can also freeze the pie (without toppings) for up to 1 month—thaw in the fridge before serving.
