- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6–8 slices thick-cut bacon (cooked until crisp, chopped)
- 3 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Fry bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove, drain on paper towels, and chop into small pieces. Reserve 1 tbsp bacon grease in the skillet.
- Season chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In the same skillet, heat olive oil (or butter) with bacon grease.
- Sear chicken on both sides (3–4 minutes each) until golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds).
- Add maple syrup, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and let simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon sauce over them.
- Sprinkle bacon on top and transfer skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temp).
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or over rice.

- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
