Description

A savory delight featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a sweet and tangy maple garlic sauce, topped with crispy bacon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 68 slices thick-cut bacon (cooked until crisp, chopped)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove, drain on paper towels, and chop into small pieces. Reserve 1 tbsp bacon grease in the skillet.
  2. Season chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil (or butter) with bacon grease.
  4. Sear chicken on both sides (3–4 minutes each) until golden. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds).
  6. Add maple syrup, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and let simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon sauce over them.
  8. Sprinkle bacon on top and transfer skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temp).
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or over rice.

Notes

  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • This dish pairs well with a variety of sides, including vegetables and grains.
