Mango Chili Sunrise is a delightful sweet heat ice cream that combines the tropical flavor of mango with a spicy chili swirl, perfect for adventurous taste buds.

- 2 cups ripe mango purée (fresh or frozen mango, blended smooth)
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream (cold)
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 1–2 teaspoons chili flakes (adjust to heat preference)
- 1 small red chili (optional, finely minced for extra kick)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Make the Ice Cream Base: Blend ripe mango until completely smooth. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mango purée, heavy cream, milk, sugar, lime juice, and vanilla until sugar dissolves. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours, or until cold.
- Make the Chili Swirl: In a small saucepan, warm honey or agave with chili flakes and a pinch of salt over low heat. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes to infuse. Let it cool completely before using.
- Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled mango mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions (about 20–25 minutes). Once it reaches soft-serve consistency, transfer half of it into a freezer-safe container.
- Add the Swirl: Drizzle half of the chili honey over the first layer and swirl lightly with a knife. Add the remaining ice cream on top and drizzle more chili swirl, repeating the marbling effect. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until scoopable.
- Serve: Scoop into bowls and drizzle with a final touch of chili honey for extra heat.
