Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix well.
- Gradually combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder until just mixed; avoid over-mixing.
- Scoop rounded portions of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- While cookies cool on wire racks, whisk powdered sugar with milk for icing consistency. Drizzle over warm cookies.
