A comforting and delicious Hamburger Green Bean Casserole that combines ground beef, green beans, and creamy cheese for a delightful meal.

- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cans (14 oz each) cut green beans, drained (or 4 cups fresh, steamed)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Heat oil or butter in a skillet. Add onion and garlic, cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the cheese.
- Stir in green beans and cooked beef until well coated.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Add crispy fried onions on top and bake another 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

- Pairs perfectly with warm rolls or mashed potatoes.
- Feel free to use fresh green beans for a healthier option.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
