- 1 ¾ cups sugar
- 4 large eggs

- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries or blackberries
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3–4 tbsp milk
- Gel food coloring (purple, pink, and blue)
- Whipped cream (for decoration)
- Star-shaped cookies
- Edible pearls, sprinkles, and glitter
- Extra fruit or berry syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Alternate adding flour mixture and milk until smooth.
- Divide batter into pans and bake for 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in blueberries or blackberries for a galaxy swirl effect.
- Slice cooled cakes in half (for 4 thin layers).
- Spread whipped cream filling between layers. Add a few berries in each layer.
- Frost outside with a thin coat of whipped cream.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and pourable.
- Separate into small bowls, tint with different gel colors (purple, pink, blue).
- Swirl colors together slightly, then pour over chilled cake to drip down sides.
- Pipe whipped cream swirls on top.
- Add star cookies, sprinkles, edible glitter, and extra berry syrup for the cosmic effect.

- Ensure the cake layers are completely cool before assembling to prevent melting the cream filling.
