Description

A refreshing layered jello dessert combining lime and red jello with cream cheese and crushed pineapple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (3 oz) lime jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 package (6 oz) red jello (cranberry or cherry)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can (14 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Dissolve lime jello in 1 cup boiling water, stir in crushed pineapple with juice. Pour into a 9×13 dish and refrigerate until set.
  2. Beat cream cheese until smooth, fold in whipped topping. Gently spread over the green jello layer and refrigerate to firm.
  3. Dissolve red jello in 1 cup boiling water, stir in cranberry sauce until fully mixed. Let cool to room temp, then pour over cream layer. Refrigerate until fully set.
  4. Before serving, top with whipped cream and lime zest if desired. Slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a sweeter touch, add more whipped topping on top before serving.
  • Letting the jello layers cool down properly is key to avoid mixing layers.
