Description

A simple and delicious dinner idea featuring ground beef, cheese, and tater tots.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Stir until creamy and combined.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the beef mixture evenly.
  6. Sprinkle with half the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Arrange frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
  8. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until tots are golden and crispy.
  9. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and return to oven for 5 minutes until melted.
  10. Garnish with fresh green onions.
  11. Serve hot with a side salad or cornbread.

  • Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or corn for extra flavor.
  • Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
