- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup limoncello
- 12 savoiardi (ladyfingers)
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice mixed with 1/4 cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients on the counter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Fold in limoncello gently into the mascarpone mixture.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the lemon juice-water mix and arrange them at the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers, followed by another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
- Before serving, dust with additional powdered sugar or lemon zest.
