A unique and delicious recipe for a Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza Cake that combines the flavors of pizza in a cake form.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F / 45°C)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups pepperoni slices
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Extra mozzarella for topping
- Extra pepperoni slices for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm water and olive oil. Stir until dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour, until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease and line a tall springform pan (or deep cake pan).
- Roll out dough into a large circle, big enough to cover the bottom and sides of the pan.
- Press dough into the pan, letting excess hang over the edges.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom.
- Add a layer of mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan.
- Repeat layers (sauce → cheese → pepperoni) until nearly to the top, about 4–5 layers.
- Fold excess dough over the top edges to seal.
- Finish with sauce, mozzarella, and a final layer of pepperoni on top.
- Bake uncovered for 40–50 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- If top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing into tall, cheesy wedges.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, consider adding sliced jalapeños between the layers.
- Make sure to let the pizza cake rest before slicing to ensure clean cuts.
