Description

A classic creamy cheesecake topped with a gory cherry glaze and candy eyeballs, making it the ultimate Halloween showstopper. Sweet, spooky, and deliciously fun!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • Candy eyeballs (store-bought or homemade with fondant/icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract. Pour filling over cooled crust.
  3. Place the pan in a water bath (to avoid cracks) and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is just set. Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let cheesecake cool slowly for 1 hour. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Spoon cherry pie filling over the top, letting it drip slightly over the sides for a “bloody” effect. Press candy eyeballs randomly into the cherries to create the creepy look.
  5. Slice and serve chilled for the ultimate Halloween dessert.

Notes

  • For a more intense cherry flavor, consider adding a splash of cherry liqueur to the filling.
  • Make sure to chill the cheesecake overnight for the best texture.
  • Use different colored candy eyeballs for a fun twist.
