Description

A rich and creamy seafood lasagna bake that combines shrimp, scallops, and crab meat with a luscious creamy sauce and layers of cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • ½ lb (225 g) scallops (optional)
  • ½ lb (225 g) crab meat (fresh or imitation)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 4 tbsp butter (for sauce)
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk (warm)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 912 lasagna noodles (cooked or oven-ready)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère or provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add shrimp, scallops, and crab. Cook just until opaque (they’ll cook more in the oven). Season lightly with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and whisk for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in warm milk and cream until thick and smooth.
  5. Stir in Parmesan, nutmeg, white pepper, and adjust seasoning.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  8. Layer noodles, ricotta, seafood mixture, sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until dish is full, finishing with noodles, sauce, and a generous topping of mozzarella + Gruyère.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  11. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use low-fat cheese and milk.
  • Feel free to add other seafood like lobster or clams.
  • Make sure to let the lasagna rest before slicing for cleaner pieces.
