Description

Flaky golden pastry filled with creamy melted Brie and topped with vibrant cranberry sauce, these mini tartlets are festive, elegant, and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 small wheel of Brie cheese (about 200 g), rind on or off
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest (optional for holiday flavor)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
  • Extra cranberries (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly flour your surface and unfold the puff pastry sheet. Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares. Press each square into a mini muffin tin, letting the corners poke upward. Brush lightly with egg wash for extra golden color.
  2. Cut Brie into 12 small cubes. Place one cube in the center of each pastry cup.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden and the Brie is melted. Let cool slightly before adding the cranberry topping.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce becomes glossy. Stir in orange zest if using. Allow to cool slightly — it should be thick and spoonable.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of cranberry sauce onto each warm Brie tartlet. Top with a tiny sprig of fresh rosemary. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider using a Brie with a stronger aroma.
  • These tartlets can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Feel free to experiment with different herbs for garnish.
