Description

A decadent Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dream Cake featuring a cookie base, edible cookie dough filling, whipped cream layer, and a rich chocolate ganache drip.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz / 450g) tube refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) light brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup (60ml) milk or heavy cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups (300g) all-purpose flour — heat-treated
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups mini chocolate chips
  • 2 cups (480ml) heavy whipping cream, very cold
  • ½ cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (180g) chocolate chips
  • ½ cup (120ml) warm heavy cream
  • More mini chocolate chips (for topping)
  • Cookie dough balls (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Press cookie dough into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake 12–16 minutes, until lightly golden. Cool completely.
  2. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add milk and vanilla, then beat well. Mix in heat-treated flour and salt until smooth. Fold in mini chocolate chips. Spread evenly over cooled cookie crust. Chill for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until thick peaks form. Spread over the cookie dough layer. Chill again while making ganache.
  4. Pour warm cream over chocolate chips and let rest for 1 minute. Stir until silky. Let cool for 5–7 minutes, then spoon around the edge to let it drip. Spread a thin layer on top if desired.
  5. Pipe whipped cream swirls along the edges, add cookie dough balls, and sprinkle mini chocolate chips. Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing.

Notes

  • Heat treat your flour by spreading it on a baking sheet and baking at 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes to kill bacteria.
  • Ensure the heavy cream is very cold for the whipped cream layer.
  • Chill the cake for at least 1 hour before serving for best results.
