Description

A rich, creamy seafood filling baked under a golden, cheesy Cheddar Bay biscuit topping—comfort food meets coastal flavor in one bubbling dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups seafood stock (or chicken broth)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 cup scallops (or extra shrimp/crab)
  • 1 cup crab meat (or imitation crab if preferred)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 2 cups Bisquick mix (or self-rising flour mix)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly whisk in stock and cream.
  4. Season with Old Bay, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened (5–7 minutes).
  5. Add shrimp, scallops, crab, and vegetables. Cook 3 minutes until seafood just turns opaque.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch or deep casserole dish.
  7. In a bowl, mix Bisquick, cheddar, and milk until dough forms.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough evenly over the seafood filling.
  9. Bake uncovered 25–30 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
  10. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush over hot biscuits.
  11. Serve warm and bubbly.
