A comforting dish featuring tender ham and cabbage cooked to perfection.
Ingredients

- 3 cups ham (precooked, chopped)
- 1 small cabbage (cubed)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp celery seeds
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Cube cabbage into large bite size pieces. Put into slow cooker with your chopped up precooked ham pieces. Top with broth and seasonings.
- Slice butter into pats and add to the top of everything. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or until leaves are as tender as you’d like. Gently fold together and serve.
- For stovetop: Use a Dutch Oven or large pot over medium high heat. Melt butter and add all seasonings with diced meat. Cook until meat is browned. Add cut cabbage chunks and broth, fold together. Lower heat to low/medium and cover with a lid. Gently stir every few minutes and remove once tender to your liking.
