A delicious and moist banana bread made with ripe bananas and topped with optional cookie dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Optional: ½ cup sugar cookie dough for topping

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden and nutty. Let cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine browned butter with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir in mashed bananas.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in brown sugar and optionally dollop sugar cookie dough on top.
  6. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes
