Delicious and easy air-fried cinnamon twists made with puff pastry, butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon-sugar

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep your puff pastry: Start by unfolding your thawed puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to gently flatten it out just a bit for even thickness. You want it thin enough to crisp up, but thick enough to stay soft in the center.
- Add cinnamon-sugar magic: Brush the entire sheet with melted butter, getting all the way to the edges. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together, then sprinkle it evenly over the pastry. You can press it in lightly with your hands to help it stick.
- Fold and cut: Fold the pastry sheet in half lengthwise so the cinnamon sugar is sandwiched inside. Press gently. Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, slice the dough into 1-inch wide strips.
- Twist and arrange: Take each strip and twist it several times, then place it into the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper or lightly greased. Give each twist a bit of space—they’ll puff as they cook.
- Air fry until golden: Air fry the cinnamon twists at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, or until they’re puffed up and golden brown. Depending on your air fryer model, you may need to cook in batches.
- Add glaze (optional but delicious): If you want to go the extra mile, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the warm twists and let it set for a few minutes.
